eTIMS software Kenya

eTIMS ready invoicing software for Kenyan businesses

Steadline is built to work with KRA eTIMS. You raise the invoice once, the same document is submitted to eTIMS, and VAT and withholding tax come off the entries you already posted. You switch eTIMS on when your KRA registration is ready.

No card to start. Prices from KES 2,999 a month when the trial ends.

Invoicing that is ready for KRA

eTIMS e-invoicing is built into the system that raises your invoices, so you are not running a separate tool beside your books. When you are registered and enter your details, you turn it on.

One invoice, not two systems

The invoice you give the customer is the one that goes to eTIMS. There is no second entry, no re-typing, and no risk of the e-invoice and the accounting invoice saying different things.

Failures are visible, not silent

Submissions are queued and retried. If eTIMS rejects one, the reason is stored and shown, so you can fix the invoice and resubmit instead of discovering a problem at filing time.

  • Queue with automatic retries
  • The reason for a failure is kept
  • Sandbox and production environments

VAT and withholding tax from the same entries

The VAT summary and the withholding tax register are read from the postings you already made. That means the figures you file come from the same ledger as everything else, not from a separate calculation.

Turn it on when you are ready

eTIMS is per business, so a business that is not registered yet is not forced through it. You can keep invoicing normally and switch eTIMS on later without moving your data.

Questions people ask

Is Steadline certified by KRA?+

Steadline connects to KRA eTIMS using your own KRA credentials, the same way a business connects any eTIMS software. Steadline is not affiliated with KRA, and you should confirm the current KRA requirements for your business.

Do I need eTIMS to use Steadline?+

No. You can use Steadline to run sales, stock, purchases and books without eTIMS, and switch it on when you are registered.

What happens if KRA rejects an invoice?+

It stays in the outbox with the reason for the failure, and you can correct the invoice and resubmit. Nothing is lost and the failure is not hidden.

Does it handle VAT as well as eTIMS?+

Yes. The VAT summary comes from the same postings, so it reconciles with the ledger, and withholding tax is tracked in the same system.
