Most Kenyan businesses are paid in more than one way. M-Pesa, cash, bank transfer and card all record against the same order, so the customer balance and the cash position are always complete.
Whole shillings, handled honestly
M-Pesa only takes whole shillings. If a customer pays a whole-shilling amount and the order is a few cents more, Steadline clears the order and posts the small shortfall to a rounding account, so nothing is left hanging and nothing is faked.

You connect your own M-Pesa shortcode and credentials to Steadline. Steadline integrates with M-Pesa; it is not M-Pesa itself and is not affiliated with Safaricom.

Do I need my own paybill or till number?+
Yes. You connect your own M-Pesa paybill or till and the matching credentials in Settings. Steadline sends the payment request and records the result; the money still moves on your M-Pesa account.
What happens if a payment fails or is cancelled?+
The request is kept with its status and the reason returned by M-Pesa, so you can follow up and try again. It is not silently dropped.
Can I still record cash and bank payments?+
Yes. M-Pesa is one of several payment methods. Cash, bank transfer and card are recorded against the same order, and they all post to the same ledger.
Is Steadline an official Safaricom product?+
No. Steadline integrates with M-Pesa through the Daraja API using your own credentials. Steadline is not affiliated with Safaricom.
